Short answer: Children of all ages are welcome on our private yachts. Tell us their ages when you book so the crew can prepare life jackets in the right sizes. Choose a stable yacht with shade, go in the morning or late afternoon, and keep the trip to 3 or 4 hours for younger children.

Safety first

Every yacht carries life jackets, and we prepare children’s sizes when you share the ages in advance. The crew gives a safety briefing before departure. Children should always be supervised by an adult on deck, especially near the swim platform.

The most comfortable yachts for families

Stability and shade matter more than size. A catamaran such as Explora has a wide, stable deck, and larger yachts with an indoor salon, such as Gallus, give a cool space for naps and snacks. Steps to a swim platform make swimming easy.

The best time of day

Mornings are calm and cooler, perfect for swimming. Late afternoon into sunset suits older children and mixed groups. From May to September, avoid the middle of the day.

Food for little ones

Soft drinks, water and ice are included. We can add a children’s menu alongside the adults’ catering, and tell us about any allergies when you book.

Water toys and swimming

Inflatables and a slide turn a swim stop into the highlight of the day. A seabob is a favourite with older children and teenagers, always with an adult and the crew nearby. Water toys are added on request; see our day charter.

What to pack

  • Swimwear, a change of clothes and a hat
  • Reef-friendly sunscreen and sunglasses
  • Children’s ID along with the adults’
  • Snacks they love and a favourite toy
  • Motion-sickness remedies if your child is sensitive

Towels are on board. See the full what to bring checklist.

Birthdays and family celebrations

A yacht is a memorable setting for a child’s birthday, a baby shower or a family reunion. We add decorations, a cake and entertainment. See birthday celebrations.
